Alphabetical is French synth-rock band Phoenix’s second album, trailing their debut by nearly four years. In the meantime, their songs have appeared in such places as Sofia Coppola’s film Lost in Translation. They sport a unique sound — funky beats, jazzy rifts, folk, and country influences.
