No one does dreampop better than four young indie Brooklynites. 2012’s rising star electro-indie band Black Light Dinner Party (“Older Together” —Summer Jams ’11) dropped their first EP BLDP earlier this year, and since then their fan base has been growing exponentially.

Their success might be due to their very good looks and style but their ability to make the catchiest beats of the year definitely has to do something with it.

“Leave It All” is one of the five very well-produced songs from the album. First time listening to it, you might think that you are listening to a Passion Pit cover band, but as the song unravels its magic the uniqueness of the band also comes out. If the upbeat intro does not get you hooked on the song, just wait until the mellow vocals kick in wrapped in synth pop explosion.

The fun, indie lyrics with a chorus that will get stuck in heads for weeks give a taste of Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., while the upbeat tempo in the background keeps the body moving from the beginning to the end. The band’s mysterious attitude, with no interviews or reviews, also contributes to the song’s success, leaving the listeners with a craving for more of what they have heard.

Overall,”Leave It All” manages to out-do a sea full of up-and-coming indie-electro songs by giving us what we wanted to hear for so long and it is clear that Black Light Dinner Party is committed to stay on top of the indie scene with live sets and new projects.
