Electronic rocker Tom Vek returns from a six-year absence with “A Chore,” the first single from his upcoming album, Leisure Seizure. The video for the song has the bespectaced British musician auditioning a listless, androgynous blonde to perform the tune on what appears to be a low-budget television show from the early 1960s. There’s a vaguely creepy sexual tension to this clip — the footage is charged with desire and expectation, but everyone involved seems confused about who has the power in the situation.
