It’s been a few years since bands like Fleet Foxes and Band of Horses ruled the indie-waves, but Greylag—a trio out of Portland, OR—are thankfully here to put the “folk-rock” back into “Pacific Northwest.”
Their latest single, “Another,” is an effortless rocker that brings to mind clear skies, rolling hills, and some quality pines. And though Greylag has existed for a mere four years, on “Another” they sound like a veteran act. We’ll have to wait until mid-October for Greylag’s full-length debut (produced by the mighty Phil Ek) to properly drop. In the meantime, here’s to hoping the trio drops another “Another,” please.
