I completely agree with your top 3.
All of these are excellent albums, but I think you overlooked a few great albums which belong here in place of some of the weaker choices (i.e. Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys…)
Bob Dylan – Love and Theft
Brian Wilson – SMILE
Arcade Fire – Neon Bible
Tom Waits – Real Gone
Gillian Welch – Time (The Revelator)
Ray LaMontagne – Trouble
Kid A #1… and the strokes are a bit overrated in my opinion…
Pretty decent list, certainly not an easy one. I'm glad to see Sea Change rated so highly.
I would consider adding Deerhunter (Microcastle, Cryptograms), Bjork (Vespertine), and Elbow (Cast of Thousands, The Seldom Seen Kid).
Coldplay is weak as hell compared to the similar but incredibly talented Elbow.
Thank you for your great taste in music. Also, Interpol should be higher:).
What about muse? I can't believe you dont't choose Origin of Symetri for this list. Anyway, good job Jonk!
