“Get Mad“

No one likes an album cover with silly art. It gives the impression that there is a lack of creativity or effort on the part of the artist. But for Kyle Andrews it is the exact opposite. Although the cover is hand-drawn and has silly childish writing on it, the album is a beautifully written composition you cannot stop listening to.
Find Love, Let Go is surprisingly subtle and well-written. Although it was recorded in Andrews’ bedroom, he has managed to make songs that are memorable and fun to listen to. This should be another wakeup call to people out there that think artists have to pay lots of money to make good records.
On each track Andrews varies his styles just enough to grab the listener and draw them in. Sometimes funky indie-rock (“Get Mad”) takes the stage or sweet acoustic folk (“Lackluster Love”) will mellow you out. To say that this recording is refreshing is an understatement.
If you are in the market for something simple and majestic, this is it. Andrews knows how to keep his music good and simple, while layering the music with just enough instrumentation and emotion. Once you find this album you won’t want to let go.
