With a new album out (the sinisterly-titled Lullabies to Paralyze), QOTSA fans will be relieved to discover that the band have lost none of their edge since the departure of bassist Nick Oliveri.
OK, so it’s not the most adventurous of creations, but “Little Sister” showcases what the band do best — doubled-up, distorted guitars bash out the simplest of riffs in muscular tandem, whilst Josh Homme’s foreboding vocals bring to mind the murky menace of Black Sabbath in their heyday.
