Rogue Wave began almost by accident. Zach Rogue was laid off from his California dot-com job in 2002. So he took a one-way ticket to New York with the intent of recording a song or two with a friend. Instead, he came away not only with a new lease on life and also an album’s worth of material that would later become Rogue Wave’s debut, Out of the Shadow. I first heard of them via the iTunes Music Store, when one of their songs was selected as the Free Download of the Week. This song, as a matter of fact.
